Stages of Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

The process of starting your own business is a mental and physical battle; it takes a lot of commitment and sacrifice. There will be ups and downs along the way, but you have to learn from your mistakes and persevere to come out successful.

Here are the four stages of becoming an entrepreneur;

Sacrifice – This is the most mentally trying stage of your journey as an entrepreneur. You have to prioritize and utilize your time to its full potential, even if it means working late nights and weekends. At first it may seem like a huge sacrifice but you will be thankful for all your hard work and effort when it pays off.

Grind – During this stage you’ll start picking up momentum and experience bigger wins more frequently then when you were starting out. You will get into a routine that will help maximize your productivity, so you are spending as much time possible on your new business, focusing on a valuable solution for your customers.

Life – At this stage your business is generating revenue and you know who your customers are and how to reach them. You will begin to feel more confidence in your ability to serve your customers. This would be the phase in which you could quit your day job and work full-time at your business if you are meeting your minimum income criteria.

Freedom – This stage is what you’ve worked so hard for. It is the stage that you have the time, energy and mental clarity to focus on your long-term vision. You can step away from your business at times and trust the system you have put in place to enjoy the lifestyle benefits of being a successful entrepreneur.

Making the decision to start your own business and create the lifestyle you want, is worth any amount of hard work.
